Re:Generation Additions

Look for an official announcement soon on these:

Axe the Cables (STS9 acoustic)
Pigs on the Wing (Pink Floyd Tribute Band featuring David Murphy)
ESKMO (Possibly a Welder set too)
Paper Diamond
Lotus (This one might still be on the fence)

Add those to the already stellar lineup that includes Bassnectar, The Glitch Mob, Beats Antique, Emancipator, Big Gigantic and more, and this weekend at Horning's Hideout is reeeaally shaping up to be a pretty epic event. Get your tickets here.

STS9 In The Studio. New Album In The Works?

Taken from the website of Different Fur Studios:

Different Fur welcomes Sound Tribe Sector 9 to the studio! The highly acclaimed Santa Cruz collective pictured below with Engineer Nic Pope working on material to follow their current five full length albums.

STS9 provides independent electronic rock with undertones of funk, jazz, and world music on their own label, 1320 Records. Known for their elaborate live instrumental sets, the band also contributes often to several nonprofit charities, including their most recent efforts in helping Japan. We’re very excited to call them one of our clients!

Before And After: 2007 Spring Tour Poster

Back in 2007, STS9 needed a poster designed and asked MikeTysonDesign to come up with something for the Spring Tour. Designer Mike Laughead has shared his creations and a few words about the project below.

This is the aborted first attempt at the STS9 poster. You can see that I took the same characters and just moved things around. I was told that this one was a little too tame, it didn't have the kick that my second attempt did. I think that most of the kick is that the boy is angry in the actual poster. I did this one on my own with some art direction by Tyson and Allen.
